It was an amzing week with Laura, we talked about some topics that are so relevant in this period. The problem spoke with Laura started from the Social Darwinism that create, but isn't a Darwin's fault (just a way to traduce a scientific theory), Colonialism and Capitalism's methodology. We've just design things/stuff, structure and service for a little small piece of the entire world. We have developed a world based on the western part, we define and separeted OTHERNESS and SAMENESS; but in the real fact we are all the same, or better we are different and we have to broad all of this difference to make the world great again.
We are in historical period that has varius problem based from an Epistemic Violence: we've to look at all the layer and its meaning, just not look and our same people and situations but discovered the entire world. Western Knowledge speaks by a point of view (sameness) instead speaking about all the situations and contexts (otherness).
For my poin of view, Laura during class spoke about "Third landscape manifesto" by Gilles Clément. It's a beatiful book that explain what I wrote before in a urbanism way. Gilles Clément's "Third Landscape" manifesto introduces a new perspective on neglected, wild, or unplanned spaces, which he calls the "Third Landscape." These areas, often overlooked in urban planning, include abandoned sites, roadsides, and wastelands. Clément argues that they are essential for biodiversity and ecological health, offering refuge for various plant and animal species. He suggests that rather than being seen as "wasted" spaces, these areas should be preserved and allowed to evolve naturally. The manifesto advocates for a shift in landscape design towards more flexible, natural environments, emphasizing a harmonious relationship between humans and nature, and promoting sustainability and biodiversity.
Thanks Laura we visit two studios/labs in Barcellona, those could be look as others from a consumist (more and more) point of view.
The objective of the Mutant Mycopirate Enclave is to maintain a community network for sharing processes and knowledge generated around DIWO mycology.
