It was a course landed by Jessica Guy and it explain what is a collective intelligence, which is a design framework that has the capacity \ responsability \ opportunity \ changing to define and develope new behaviors and practices. Every body is a designer so everybody could contribuite to the design process.
In a collective intelligences is so importante have plural practice and a distribuited model to gain the goal of Distribuited model, who has at its core Circular Fabbrication. All of this frame lives and works thanks to a lot of spread knowledge (Data in \ Data out).
Obv to reach all of those we need communities that have some important values to follow:
build their collective stories (narrative)
recognize members
support communities structure
define community
Each communities could be define in different way, there are some of that:
OPEN source mentalities (Club Domingo)
COLLABORATIVE making practice (Little Big Future)
REGENERATIVE design principals (Mi Tom Xonh)
ECOSYSTEMIC approaches (Precious plastics)
(resources) \\ definition a stock or supply of money, materials, staff, and other assets that can be drawn on by a person or organization in order to function effectively: "local authorities complained that they lacked resources"
We had an amazing lessons (quite difficult to follow for me but at the same time very interesting and ispirational) about how to manage and spread resourch in an ethical way.
We've talked in class about commons and how it are difficult to manage, that's because we have to understand that individual benefits split resourches in a super impactful way. This create a domino effects which produced competition - colonialism - capitalism.
Sharing resourches in a collective systems and communal practies, this is a concretic way to fight against capitalism and its drammatic conseguences. We talked about Elinor Ostrom and her commons' econimics vision:
So for governing the commons we need to:
Finding a structure CO FUNDER / PRIVATE FUNDING / CASCADE CO FUNDING
Governance MEETING / DECISION MAKING / DOCUMENT
Communication ACTIVITIES / GLOBAL
We should look at a maker space as a Common, each maker space work on a particular topics, they doesn't touch every single society's problem (probably I should go in each of those)
All of this space are engaded in: Global activity and activism, Community activity and impactful design driven. This thanks to an important design vision, DISTRIBUITED DESIGN. It's easy, just try to think us (our design communities) as an huge group of people that splits/share/democratize all the commons. With this lesson I have more hope for my/earth/society future. Is a collectivity workplace whith rules and values, that's thanks to a very accurate block chain, to try to develope Startup and a performative partecipations.
