Thanks to Jonathan we talked about this new way of living approch, about sustainable agricultural practices and self-sufficiency approaches.
This innovative approach is based on hacking a farm, trough an investigation about how managed the soil and not be aggresive with the soil and only think about what you wonna grow. It is a small scale technology for being a more local technology, all of this approach is simply based on degrowth. Is a new to live more in a local beings.
It's a little bit complicate explain in a flow speech what I understand in this beatiful experience/course, so I just report all the concept talked in class.
AGRICOLTURE ZERO
Ecological indicators: As a driver of change, without indicators you'll just fluppy around
Context: As a vector of innovation, without is really difficult understand wich tecnhology or systems you have to develope (es.FabLab)
Ecotone: Exemples of context as a innovation's vector. Is where twi different land and enviroment touch togheter, is so important for understand our sourrandings.
Post Industrial / Post Agricultural: Both are tech-driven economies. A post-industrial society moves from manufacturing to services, technology, and knowledge-based industries like healthcare and IT, driven by innovation and globalization.
A post-agricultural society shifts away from traditional farming, with urbanization and technology leading to a focus on industries like tech, tourism, and renewable energy, while sustainable farming practices emerge.
Local Self-Sufficiency: Local self-sufficiency is the ability of a community or individual to meet their needs using local resources, reducing reliance on external sources. It includes local food production, renewable energy, water management, waste recycling, and local manufacturing. This approach promotes sustainability, resilience, and independence, strengthening communities and reducing environmental impact.
Maintanance: Costant partecipation and be part of process to understand better what you have in your hands. Two important values are: take time for understand and use forse to make real your ideas.
Data: Data a a new lens. It is a better way to understand our sourrandings, constant observacion, learning by doing. Understand better a local context, how to map correctly an information. All the data are helpfull way to choose a practice A or B.
Ecological optima: It is a new approach to agricolture, in past we used only to managed the land for a huge specialized monocolture; instead now it's the beginning of a new era. A diverse small polycolture Fukuoka \\ don't do nothing for increase plant's grown, wait. Holistic approach \\ with new innovatine technology try to take inside the ground carbon dioxide Soil-less systems \\ new approach for don't stress grounds, hydropinic - acquaponics- acquacolture - permacolture
Soil: In past we just try to stress and over-managed grounds, but we never considered its as a living beings. Is based on ciclical progress, nutrients and chemical factors are always reused from deep to below.
Valldaura Fab Lab, located near Barcelona, is a sustainable innovation hub that provides digital fabrication tools like 3D printers and laser cutters. Part of the global Fab Lab network, it focuses on eco-friendly design, urban innovation, and collaboration with local communities. The lab blends technology with nature, promoting renewable energy and sustainable solutions, with an emphasis on local self-sufficiency, creating designs and systems that reduce reliance on external resources.
We had a fantastic trip from Mundet statiotion to Valldaura plasce, was amazing just because we spent half day in nature (I felt very blessed and full of energy) also Jonathan explain us all the concept talked in class.
shared folder, I made a lot cool's photos during this hike https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1f0WoLhgLgGKlKmotMKipo_R6J1DQ9miA?usp=drive_link
