My first person perspective intervention is about collect waste in the urban aerea and understan how and what waste is produced by human/house/activities. My first intervention perspective person was for 6 hours around the city of Barcelona observing and collecting different types of waste. In the other 6 hours: I have conceptualized what waste is in general and how it is produced, followed up, I analyzed these wastes and created a table on miro that explained types of materials and its upcycling processes (housekeeping/ Fab Lab)
Here you can find all the video, I have to do this due to copyright problem. Enjoy it !!! https://vimeo.com/1025963950?
This is the schedule about my reflection after the first person perspective intervention. It help me to focus on the way we produced waste and how this waste could be reuse in a Emergent Future. We can use our waste to re-make something with a upcycling process? How we could planned the all organization ? Why we produced so much waste ?
The etymology of the word refusal is "a problem that comes before me and I can not/want to solve it". I have analysed the context; how could be the urban area of Barcelona, and I have understood that waste is produced by all components of the city to satisfy needs through services. Waste may be organic or inorganic and produced by residents, tourists, businesses or companies. After that, thanks to what I collected in the last 6 hours and what I researched on the internet I was able to create a scheme that puts link between: waste producers, waste, upcycling processes with Fab Lab and housekeeping.
My final conclusion, which is that I don’t really want to turn off after a week but continue it as long as possible, is that waste is produced continuously in an urban area. We must find a way to give them a second life, to solve this problem. The solution is to implement upycling processes that are usable and reproducible by all, so I analyzed the connections between waste, processes and places where they can be unclogged. To understand if everyone can access it or is only a restricted activity to few, need specialized machinery or with the things you have in your home you can still do and especially is an activity potentially organizable or utopian?
